Dumfries Junior Club hosted the 11th Dumfries Junior International Globe Trophy. This unique event with 5 trophies up for grabs continues to be a headliner for the end of season with the winner scooping £1000. The event continues to attract the highest calibre of teams and players. This season was no acceptation, World Uni Gold Medalist, World Mixed Bronze Medalist, Youth Olympic Silver Medalist, Scottish Champions, World Junior Gold Medalists to name a few. The real special part of this event is our newest curlers to the sport get to play along side these players with such high accolades within the sport. It inspires them to move into the competitive structure of curling.
Ross Whyte and his team of Cameron Bryce, Bobbie Lammie & Euan Kyle ran out winners of the 2017 Junior International beating Luke Carson and his team of Euan MacDairimd, Ben Cormack & Mark Taylor in the final. 3rd Place went to Hamish Gallacher, Scott Hyslop, Jack Strawhorn, & Jack Carrick 4th Place went to Beth Farmer, Kristin Bouise, Katie McMillan & Karlyn Lyon
Low Road Cup Winners went to Duncan McFadzean, Ryan McCormack, Maia Ramsfjell, & Henriette Halvorsen
Challenge Cup was won by Blair Haswell, Adam Keron, Cameron Paterson, Adam MacDairmid
Speed Cup won by Alex MacKintosh, Molly Keen, Caitlin Jones, Holly Davis
Pot Lid Cup won by Frank Porteous & Jackson Sloan
